ちなみに「有力な情報筋」は 「authoritative source 」と言いますよ。

 
 

(*1) Good, but there was a lot going around. →ここは「there was a lot going on」でもいいわよ。「いろんな事があった」の意味ね。フレーズとして覚えてしまうと便利よ！

(*2) Sounds busy. →相手の話したことに対して、「〜な感じだね」って言いたい時は、 「Sounds 形容詞」がいいです。 よく聞きますよね、Sounds good.とかSounds nice. って。

 
 

(*3) I hope you can have a peaceful year end and new year. →「年末年始」は「year end and new year」ね。
