ニュース、見た？ 今年の漢字が発表されたね。

「北」かぁ。北朝鮮問題や北九州の大雨、いろいろあったもんね。
(Hmm, this year's kanji is "北"... It was in a lot of news stories like the North Korea problem or heavy rain in North-Kyushu, right?)

僕は今年は、新しいプロジェクトをいろいろやったし、漢字にするなら「新」だな。(*3)
(I tried many new projects at work this year, so if I chose a kanji for this year, it would be "新 (shin, atarashii, new)".)

なるほど。アリスが来てとても楽しかったから、私は「楽」かな。(*4)
